In the Barn
Horses come first in our barn. We believe that the quantity of work done with a horse is meaningless if it’s not done with quality. When it’s not, you end up doing the same thing over and over again, retraining or rebreaking your horse after time off, and continuing to deal with the same issues as they come up. Our philosophy (adopted from many others) of giving the horse the time it needs to find the solution, keeps them in a learning frame of mind, and results in a horse that “stays where you left it”.
We’d enjoy any opportunity to share some of the things we’ve picked up along the way, and help you improve your relationship with your horse.
The emphasis will be on horsemanship, and a safe and enjoyable relationship with your horse. Our goal is to help you develop a thoughtful, respectful, and willing horse; using a few simple principles and your imagination, (no gimmicks or special tools, just your everyday tack and maybe some cows or barrels) to communicate in a way your horse can understand. We take great pride in our horses and the way they perform and behave, and you are always welcome to come and see what’s going on.
