Camps
These “camps” will consist of lots of riding, handling of babies, and will be a good start for someone that’s just getting into horses- or someone that is having trouble with their current horse. They’ll be doing a lot of the same things our interns will be doing, but they’ll be doing them in a more supervised atmosphere. We will only accept riders age 15 and up for week-long and day long camps. If you have a child that’s younger please contact us.
The cost for the day long camps are $175/day and include lunch. The day will start at 9:30 and end around 6pm.
Week-long camps are $625/week for a 3 week maximum. We’ll provide all the meals and accommodations (may be shared) for up to 2 people at a time-if we’re not full with interns in the weeks that you’re available.
Additional Information:
The Camp Program runs from May through September each year. Currently, we can take 2 campers at a time for which we will provide meals and (shared) lodging here at the ranch house (the camper will have access to the laundry facilities as well as internet, phone and television). We will provide transportation to and from the Pierre, SD Airport. Transportation can be arranged for an additional fee to the Rapid City, SD Airport. Students are allowed to bring one horse. The camps are limited to a maximum of 3 weeks. A week is 8 days- Sunday through Sunday. Campers will arrive on Sunday, and leave on Sundays giving us 6 full days each week.
Days here are often long, but you will learn a lot, as well as have LOT of fun! That we can promise. And it’s not all work and no play- there will be an occasional afternoon off- where you can nap, or we’ll take a trip to the river to swim. After all, we live in God’s ultimate playground here.
