Our family has been ranching in this location for nearly 60 years; and we now have the opportunity to share it with you. We offer working ranch vacations specifically tailored to those interested in efforts to help our local youth, however no one that has ever visited has left without telling us they can’t wait to come again.

There will be a fairly flexible agenda for your time here, and you will be invited to participate in whatever the day might bring. Participation isn’t mandatory, and you can do as little or as much as you like.  Those activities will vary based on the time of year; but all will include exposure to the horsemanship principles we practice and how we apply them to each and every activity we engage in on the ranch, and an opportunity for you to gain some hands-on experience.

In addition to the daily activities on the ranch you will also have the opportunity for other activities in the area. Hunting and Fishing is regulated by the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribal Game, Fish and Parks Department, and you are welcome to engage in the activities that are in season at your own additional expense. Our relative who offers lessons in the Lakota way of life, is just up the road a bit. You are also a day trip away (3 hours one way) from the Black Hills of South Dakota, one of the premiere tourist destination in the nation.

While every visit includes exposure to horsemanship; some may prefer to focus more intensively on your relationship with horses. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own horse, but we feel that to broaden your experience there is no substitute for applying this way to a variety of horses at several different levels, so you will be riding ours as well.

The option to cook for yourself or have us provide meals for you is provided. Meals we provide will include plenty of home-raised beef.

Our well- equipped bunkhouses include a small, full kitchen, a sleeping loft and a main living space, as well as a private bath, and shared laundry facility. Photos coming soon.

We are currently booking for 2017 vacations, so please contact us if you’re interested.
